  1. Berhalter is already on the defensive with the media because he knows his position is weak – you guys failed to mention the shady politics and nepotism that resulted in a year-long wait to hire an extremely average MLS coach. You say he's not an ideologue – it's too early to tell. All I know as an ATL United fan is that Tata was the only real choice, and the US blew it.

  2. 1) horrible shirt selection 2) US soccer loss was due to inability to play out of back under high pressure and inability of US players to make tactical fouls and have the desire to win 3) US doesn't need to beat Mexico to qualify for WC but need to play better to get out of round 1 at WC.

  3. Will Tab Ramos ever be head coach like he should be and how long a leash does Berhalter have? IMO Ramos should've got the job after Klinsmann. Thank you

  4. They NEVER GOING TO GET GOOD USA 🇺🇸 soccer is not you’re sport football 🏈 baseball ⚾️ basketball 🏀 🥎🏐🏒is you’re sport but soccer he’ll no is not sport

  5. Great episode. Bobby has stepped his game up in recent weeks. He was good here.
That Berhalter interview was fantastic. One of the best interviews I've heard this year anywhere. You guys should be really proud of that one. He is an ideologue and it's getting more worrisome by the day when he talks to press and trots out lineups. The Tata counterfactual I wish was more detailed. It's a fun premise.
The pro-MLS slant is overstated by a lot of fans. You guys are pretty fair overall.
    Keep up the good work.

  6. I was there at the Benz to see Tata's Atl beat Bradley's LAFC 5-0. Rarely does a Tata team have 50% of possesion. But at the same time they play with 3 in the back. So what's happening? That is the right question to begin to understand the genius of Tata Martino. We passed on him so now we should go after NYFC's Torrent, who also cut his teeth at Barcelona.

  7. In all of the other countries Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay, Argentina Bosnia…etc the best players of the world come form the "hood" here in America soccer players are usually well off kids riding in 2019 Escalades who with good networking and lots of money (because playing tournaments here in the US takes a lot of money for travel uniforms and others) get to play in the MLS and maybe the USMNT. Kids from the "hood" which usually make the better players choose to play football, baseball, Basketball or hockey. If the USMNT wants to get better at soccer it needs to start looking in the inner cities and provide the necessary means for the kids to play and want to dedicate their lives to soccer. Another factor that stops the US to produce great soccer players is that the US places a lot of emphasis in promoting soccer as a female sport, and unfortunately if someone speaks of this, it is flagged as a chauvinist pig. The recent success of the MLS like the premier league is the amount of money that it is starting to generate (in the case of the MLS) and the amount of players from other countries it is starting to attract, but when it come to US players, we are still in the red and will remain on it for a very long time.

  8. Nothing about Berhalter's tenure has been impressive. He has beaten tiny island nations and struggling Concacaf teams. When it has come to playing good teams, the US has performed very poorly.

I see the same issues Jurgen had. He wanted to play attacking and possession football too. It didn't work. Most often when the team performed well it was simple football, counter attacks and individual moments of brilliance. Everyone ragged on Jurgen for not playing attacking football like he promised. Well guess what soccer fans, Berhalter is what you get when you insist upon playing a style without the players necessary to do it. Doesn't look so pretty does it?

In one year, when the team continues to perform poorly, will Berhalters brother and the other brass in USSF fire Greg? I certainly hope so, because if he doesn't change his stubborn decision making the team will not improve. Berhalter was an average MLS coach, just go have a look at his record. The only thing he did of note besides losing an MLS cup is having consistent goals from the striker which he has not been able to do in any game he has coach for the US national team.

  9. We lost with Mexico because we don't have pro rel system in place because America doesn't understand that you play for glory and not for money. We lost with Mexico because we rely on a college system. We lost with Mexico because we don't have an international cap in the MLS, so we don't promote local talent. We failed in Mexico because we need a real soccer system.

  10. Yea let's listen to MLS shills discuss the problem with USMNT. Um the problem is that the US Soccer federation hired a MLS coach and prioritize MLS players and environment. What a joke
