  1. The takeaway from this interview is that the coach from the US (ideally) should always be an American. The good news is that the future of American coaching is really promising! Marsch along with Jim Curtin and now Cherundolo seem like very good future prospects…No need to bring big name foreign coaches.

  2. Morris is a feel good pick for Gregg but from a sporting perspective he shouldn’t be within a thousand miles of this roster. He was hardly good enough before the second acl injury and he’s worse now

  3. Pepi doesn't have the frame and scored goals in the Netherlands. What? What an MLS homer. Pepi proved what he could do in qualifying. What has Ferriera done in comparison besides staying in the comfy MLS? His recent form hasn't been great either, as he was quickly eliminated from the playoffs. I promise you none of the strikers on the roster would have scored a goal at Augsburg. What a joke of analysis from homer Doyle!!! Stupid take. Charlie, speak up lol

  4. Steffan the last few years made me nervous when he was in goal.
Cannon better than Moore? Cannon was a liability defensively and gave you nothing going forward.

  5. Is it possible that GGG didn't feel that Pepi and Steffan would be disgruntled vocally unhappy players if they were relegated to the bench behind Ferrera and Turner?

  6. Good explanation of why Pepi was not included, but I still prefer him over Ferriera. Not picking Steffen was a genius level move by Berhalter. Thats gonna give Turner a lot more confidence. I still dont understand the Long inclusion. Has not reached his pre-injury form. Also I like Moore better than Cannon, but Cannon is more versatile, so seemed like a better fit for the 9th defender. Not sure why we have literally 4 right backs on the roster. Even Adams or Roldan, could play there.

  7. The US would literally not be in the World Cup without Pepi. And he’s in great form right now. Y’all should be way more outraged that he’s not on the team.

  8. Whatever happens this time, the USMNT will be all the better for it, and 2026 could well be right time for this squad. I’m an England fan, supporting a very talented team with the wrong manager, who I feel is too risk-averse and suspicious of flair players, preferring his favourites, even if they are out of form , very similar in fact to the USMNT, who I believe would be better with a Jesse Marsch. My view on this World Cup, a very tight group with a surprise just waiting to happen, it’s there for the taking by any of the 4.
