About Aston Villa: Philogene looked totally lost whenever he played this season. And with Leon Bailey also bombing out, Villa need help with wide players, hence the Malen signing. As for summer recruitment, you didn't mention Maatsen. Barrenechea, Illing Jr + £40m is what they received from Juventus for Luiz. Looking like a good deal for Villa.

Philogene has had chances off the bench but never made an impact – only memorable one was defensively against Bayern. It’s shame though – he missed a last minute sitter against United. Maybe if he scores that, it’s a different story
Barkley has been a great signing and used super effectively. He’s had plenty of minutes – probably about what he’d have expected, been great cover as a 6, and scored some crucial goals. Although Onana started well and I do see him being a big player for us, you could argue Barkley has had more of an impact – certainly as much as Onana
