Uruguay will be “stopping 50% of Portugal” if they contain Cristiano Ronaldo in Saturday’s last-16 World Cup tie, says former striker Diego Forlan.

Skipper Ronaldo has netted four times in Russia, including a hat-trick in his side’s opening game against Spain.

Uruguay are the only team in the competition yet to concede a goal after their three group games.

“Ronaldo is a leader, the way he scores the goals and how important they are,” Forlan told BBC Radio 5 live.

Real Madrid forward Ronaldo netted a brilliant last-minute free-kick to claim a point against Spain and also scored the winner in the game against Morocco.

    Conclusão.. do ano 2000 para a frente , portugal leva um 3-1 depois ganha um 2-0 depois leva apenas uma goleada por 6-2 e depois um empate 0-0 , nao vejo aqui uma grande diferença no 1 pra 1 . Um pais que tem 200etal milhoes para outro com 10 milhoes apenas , mesmo portugal consegue ficar logo atras no numero de BOLAS de ouro ja teve 3 melhores o que e muito para a dimencao de portugal . Um treinador de nivel LENDÁRIO mourinho.. Ditado poucos mas somos bons . Outra informação e que tanta craque brasileiro cresceu no campeonato português. Essa coisa toda do brasileiro inferiorizar portugal a forca toda , acho que e mais um DESESPERO do que outra coisa .. Termino com .. Se over mais um jogo entre PT e BR .. kkk veremos quem ganha , agora nesta década, portugal esta muito melhor a novel TÁCTICO e TÉCNICO, e mais nao digo em fim . Mais respeito entre as 2 nações .
