Alexei has been all in on American football since his playing days and has been a father figure ever since. He’s not afraid to rip the boys apart when they’re being complacent, but now he’s extremely proud. Between the Gold Cup and the Nations Cup, there’s a lot of positivity on the horizon for the US

Great win for the US with their "B" team: The nucleus and Europe-based core of the U.S. competed in the Nations League final four, while a more MLS-heavy contingent took the baton for the Gold Cup, (The "B" team). Gregg Berhalter’s fielded separate teams in two regional competitions. He could have called his top European players such as Christian Pulisic, Gio Reyna and Weston McKennie for the Gold Cup, but instead, he went with his "B" squad of mostly MLS based players
His full-strength unit (The "A" team) won the Nations League in Denver and his secondary crew (Team "B") captured the Gold Cup trophy. In the latter, he was able to expose young players to international competition ahead of 2022 World Cup qualifiers
