At the end of the season, this video is what I want my u11 players to learn. How do you adapt? How do you play the game? How do you overcome adversity? I haven't bumped into any material yet that addresses this topic. But this video helped me realize I need to actively teach this topic and that it cannot only be modeled. Great vid. Thanks
Thank you so much. This has been very hard to implement as a first time coach. After a hard fought loss today this put some wind back in my sails and helped me realize something that was missing from our practices.

Kids need to know they play to win, and to achieve it they have to work for it. Pretty much a life lesson as well. This is a great video for mentalityl. I will use part of this for my new team in the season at some point depending on numbers.

This and the tackling one have come at a really good time for us. Some of my (grass roots) u12s are not enjoying the greater physicality as they get older. They've also come back this season having forgotten a lot of the things they did well last year, have lost some games and are getting a bit of a negative mindset.
I agree that the winner/loser habits are good principles to play by but we see a lot of winners at elite level constantly acting like "losers" so I wonder if this could be framed slightly differently?
