  1. Most Cubans in Miami are pre-Castro era Cubans and their children. Those Cubans and Cuban-Americans in Miami have become Americanized. They follow classic American sports like baseball, American football and basketball. Also, Since baseball and boxing were the top sports in Cuba before Castro, the passion for those sports lingers among them. But, the real key to the lack of Cuban attendance is that the Cubans that left Cuba because of Castro do not support Cuban sports at any level. They reject and detest today’s Cuba. In fact, promoting a match involving Cuba to Miamians can become dangerous to the promoters and others involved. So, they don’t promote such things in Miami that much. So, the Cubans that would be most likely to attend a game like this would be those raised under the Castro regime. You might also see a rare breed of Cuban or Cuban-American who is an anti-communist die-hard soccer fan (including ex-soccer-players) who wants to see Cuba free and just wants Cuba to win despite their disdain for the current regime.

  4. Guatemala showing much improvement under Tena but they need to finish. Mendez Liang looks like the future of Guatemala. This tournament rn should lay the groundwork for a (hopeful) WC qualification once qualifiers start next year. We played well in the Nations League and seems to be carrying into the Gold Cup. Patience my Chapines 🇬🇹🙏
