  1. Why should you care what we call it. We don't care what you call your dull game that you call football. No one really watches soccer here so it doesn't really matter what we call it.
But anyway, back in the early 1800's when American Football began, it had elements of rugby and regular American football. As time passed, the form of the game changed and the name stuck. Besides, "soccer" was actually coined by a british man.

We left Europe because we got tired of you telling us what to do.

  2. but it's football, because you play the ball with your feet. the american game football has a stupid name because you play with your hands and it's not even a ball

  3. Geez we call it football, and you call it football, you really are stupid, and anyway I admit that you are better then some European teams, but you are way off and it will take a small miracle to get you to the top.

  4. Your "dipshit" comment is actually in response to my answer to your "relevant comment". You asked what Montero has to do with soccer's growth in the the USA, since he's Colombian. You weren't ignored, you just don't like my answer.

Foreign born players can positively affect change here. It's tough to get schools and the media in the USA to encourage soccer over baseball or football, and players like Montero peak valuable interest. That interest eventually improves the talent pool.

  5. It is clearly about the league, since the video is clearly about the league. I assume the comment is about the league, so I'm responding to that. The USMNT is a separate issue.

  6. He was playing in the USA. The MLS is a North American league. We're not talking about the US national team, so Montero's nationality doesn't matter. How in the world did you mix that up?
