Yes he was a great footballer, gifted, so why did he have to cheat, no matter what is said about him, he cheated, imagine just for a moment if he had walked up to the ref and said, no ref, it was a hand ball, if everyone who thinks he was great now, think what the the world would think of him had he done that, for me as an England supporter that one moment of cheating wipes everything else out, it never happened to the greatest, Pele, but I can't imagine him cheating like that so blatantly, he was a true gentleman of the game.

It’s amazing that once a person dies he all of a sudden he was flawless through life.Let me start by saying that he was one of the best players to ever play,but he was corrupt ,he was a cheater scoring with his hand at a major competition also a gambler a drug addict ,a lousy father and bad husband.He had no discipline he let all the the bad things in life control him even the Mafia .Like a said a great footballer but in no way an example for young footballers.

Diego is Spanish for David. For me Dave Maradona is the grearest ever. Pele, Messi, the two Ronaldos , Zidane and Cruyff are all 10 out of 10 but in my humble opinion the next best is Ronaldhino. I know others will disagree but that is the beauty of football. But there are plenty of clips on You Tube for people to view and make their own minds up.
