  1. I think a junior sports coach at the much younger level should prioritise having fun and developing skills, but there still needs to be some emphasis on trying to win games. If the kids lose but they are giving their best, no problem.

But if the kids lose unnecessarily because of a lack of effort or focus, even if just for a short time, I feel that a good coach should still use that as a learning point. After all, we are still trying to build a competitive mindset in our kids. It brings out their best, as opposed to a mindset of complacency.

  2. It's getting cold out. I don't know where to train. We moved to a new house and the garage is even COLDER than outside. I caught an ear infection training in their for so long and I don't know what to do. I'm experiencing bad form lately cause I haven't trained. Help.

  3. Another superb 2 minute tuesday. Maybe you could speak about a topic that have been really trending in Europe lately. Competition (Focus on winning) vs Development (No focus on winning) in youth football. People argue that to much competition and focus on winning will do that players lack in development. Would be intresting to see your view on this. Love your stuff!! Keep it up.

  4. Hey Matt! Fantastic work as always. I have a little wish, can you talk a little about goalkeeping. Or maybe its stupid becaouse  you dont play as one. Love from sweden

  5. Matt, i have a good 2 min tuesday, what do you think about all these European franchises coming and opening academies in the us, Boca Juniors USA, Valencia CF academy NY, Juventus academy, Barca Academy NY, Real Miami, rip off or legit. Prices are extreme from 2,500-4000 a year, worth it or not?
