Lineup leaks before the FPL deadline create an unfair advantage for managers who are able to wait for them, while many others can’t due to work or time zone differences. Something should be done with the deadline time to minimize this, either by moving it further away from kickoff so success is based on planning rather than monitoring leaks, or by introducing a mechanism to allow substitutions when verified leaks emerge.
