  1. Don’t understand the small shin guards for real.

Messi wore shin guards the size of his legs and look at the way he was playing.

Like bro you’re not moving like that, the small shin guards still won’t help you.

  2. Pre game check is on ref. If they question it mid game that's a verbal and the player is sent off to correct the pad,if they change it again it becomes a card. Pretty simple rule to understand.

  3. I never understood the shin guard issue. When I played I used the smallest kiddie foam ones I could find even in high school. . The bigger and more protective shin guards that apparently hurt people just got in the way for me. They made running feel unnatural and ball handling more prone to errors.

  4. When I played, the refs checked bottom of boot and if you wore shinguards. What seal is he he referring to? I wore Adidas shinguards with the ankle part cut off and I set the plastic guard high up on my shin. In 20 yrs of playing offense and defense I've had my hip popped out, 2 concussions, pulled hamstring, 1 bee sting but never any shin injuries. Side note, the ref looks terrified

  5. In the “pay to play” system it is very important that officials assert their powers in order to ensure that cash flow from obviously parents who think the right shinguards will actually make you a World Cup champion someday lmao Meanwhile real World Cup winners like Brazilians Ronaldo, Romario, Ronaldinho etc etc all played barefooted with no shinguards hahahaha

  6. It’s called a nocsae seal. I remember my high school soccer coach made us all take our shin guards out before one practice and if they didn’t have the seal, we couldn’t practice or play in the next game until we got proper shinnies

  7. Out of my 14 years of playing soccer, I’ve only ever seen my coach get a yellow card once & it was probably the funniest moment ever. It was a state finals and you can tell the ref was doing everything in her power to keep us from winning, (didn’t work) but seeing a 6 foot 7 Caribbean man get a yellow card from a 4 foot referee was honestly one of my highlights of my career. Great memories.
