I hope so, but I don't think they have changed. I've been thinking about this since the Alonso appointment. People forget that he's new to football management and his first job was at Leverkusen, a club that has limited resources with average players and a few quality ones. Yes he moved to Madrid, a huge upgrade in terms of stature and quality. However, is it really out of the realm of possibility for Alonso to downgrade and accept the Chelsea job, having managed Leverkusen before?? At the end of the day the present Chelsea is like the Leverkusen of England in terms of player quality, mid table team. I've figured it was not that difficult for blueco to convince him to work with limited resources because he has done it before. And this should worry us because we need better quality and resources. As good as Alonso is, he cannot make a footballer out of Garnacho, he needs to be given better quality than that.
Should the human eye function as these do in their practice of journalism, and especially as Deeney does, it would be incapable of sight.
