  1. I remember watching him do a skills challenge 5 years back, I was so confused how he could look that average and still be playing in the prem. He was overachieving big time. Right place right time. I'd trade places with him in a heartbeat

  2. nah, his career is on a downward slide. Can't see it recovering. He'll slide down the leagues and everyone will harp on about him finding a manager who can get the "best out of him" when he was overrated in the first place and is too lazy to adapt his game. That Spurs documentary basically exposed what a layabout he is.

  3. Someone who is ruining his career by being a ‘party boy’ moving to a place that is known for its vibrant night life is the equivalent of moving Paddy the Baddy to Glasgow.

  4. Unfortunately for Dele, the age of the out and out “number 10” has almost gone. Very few teams play with a number 10 who can get away without doing much defensive work so long as he creates which is where he was at his best at Spurs. Todays football is all about physical intensity and pressing from the front and Alli just isn’t quick enough or intense enough in his running to do it. Alli seems to be clinging on to what he used to do at Spurs and it doesn’t work anymore. If he wants to succeed in todays game, he actually needs to go back to his routes at MK Dons (in terms of style of play). At MK he was a combative, box to box central midfielder who could defend and contribute going forward. If he keeps trying to play the way he did at Spurs then he’ll never get back to the level he’s capable of, he needs to adapt his game.

  5. When he came to Spurs I thought I was witnessing one of the greats. I don’t think he knows what he wants…playboy or footballer ?
    It’s such a shame.

  6. He really has lost his touch- sad to see a player with so much hype and potential not be used properly. Personally it was Jose’s fault
