  1. haha he'll always be a second grade manager in the eyes of English folks just because he's ginger. Its been going on for ever and will never change. Sure u give him his props but he'll never manage Liverpool or City or England.

  2. Genuinely want this guy to succeed. A completely refreshing perspective to management. Will be watching and rooting for Southampton to storm the championship this coming season. Maybe one day he’ll get to manage his boyhood club West Ham….while he’s still a boy, haha. COYI.

  3. Considering the disaster that was last season, I'm surprisingly optimistic about the new season with Still in charge. It feels like a real reset for the club

  4. A really good analysis of the mechanics of creating space and pressing the opposition. Can't help thinking that the English leagues, especially the Prem, are just so good at pressing (and the physicality!) that the time required to manipulate the opposition shape is so minimised. Creating an extra second on the ball, creating an overload/spare man is crucial. Teamwork is critical. And one individual player can make the difference. Southampton will be a great watch this season.

  5. I remember seeing footage of him on Belgian TV in the dressing room at Lierse who were in deep trouble at that time on and off the pitch. He was using some choice language (in English) where he called the opponents “a bunch of faggots” or words to that effect. Of course it being a Flemish TV sports program nobody batted an eyelid. I believe he might do well at Southampton
