Will Real Madrid step up to become UCL favorites?

Real Madrid knew the task at hand in the second leg of the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League against Manchester City, knowing they took a 3-0 win into the second leg. Manchester City tried to put up a fight, but were sentenced to their fate after a Bernardo Silva red card resulted in a penalty to Vini Jr. which set the second leg in motion. Alvaro Arbeloa’s side took control of the match, despite giving up a goal to Erling Haaland. Vini Jr. eventually scored what would be the winner in the 93rd minute, securing Real Madrid’s spot in the last 8.

  1. There are people who have earned almost nothing in their life, and before they say what have you won in your life, I'm sorry, I'm not an athlete.

  2. The guy who spoke about the start of La Liga and the copa del rey exit has no football knowledge AT ALL. UCL football is completely different from other competitions. Madrid won the 2022 and 2024 UCL by completely suffering. Would they win it all? Maybe not, but these same guys will already discounted Madrid against City and Benfica.

  3. a lobsided madrid with all those injuries still get the job done in a transitional season. What's gonna happen when this club gets back to its prime 😂🤍

  4. It doesn't matter the manager personnel Anyone playing for that club understands that Real Madrid was built to rule Europe And history does matter, matter a whole lot 15 trophies are behind the phylosophy.

  5. Gotta love the pundits taking the credit away from Madrid like usual. When we win it's because the other team wasn't good, when we lose it's because we are bad. Keep this energy coming, we love adversity

  6. The match ended in Spain. It was a meaningless match for Real Madrid. Their minds are on Bayern… Madrid always beats Bayern… Bayern's disciplined, single-level football will lose.

  7. Big matches have a different atmosphere. In the Real Madrid-City game, they controlled the tempo. They constantly controlled the pace. The Bayern Munich match will be different. There are no easy matches… but my favorite is Real Madrid.

  8. This dude must not watch la liga, doesn't see the reason why madrid struggles in la liga. He must not know about NEGREIRA scandal currently under investigation

  9. Why is the media so insanely reactionary all of the time? 😭 they play Bayern next round, can’t crown anyone clear favourites before semis

  10. It's funny how all these "experts and ex-players" rule out the KING of the competition. Specially, I love when the British media and fans rule out my team. I guess winning the championship 15 times is not a big deal for them…smh.
