  1. José Mourinho is really in a hurry: he designs to win his trophies within a year or two of joining a club.

But Spurs does not have enough good players to achieve that. This might be José first failure to win a trophy 🏆.

  2. sissoko, ndombele, dier ..jose will make spud the most defensive team in the division soon with son as attacking LWB and aurier as attacking RWB with kane as a defensive forward ..jog on jose

  3. "its so difficult for 20-30 mill players to get into first team" Robertson: 8mil, Matip: free, gini: 30mil, mane: 30mil, hendo: 20mil, milner: free, etc. Its not about how much money u spend but how well u can spend with the smaller budget

  4. If you believe what he said in his first interview regarding analysing his career and his mistakes the answer to the question is no. But only because in his mind he already knows what he has to do. He must already know he has to change his approach in this case. Which is wise given that the current squad is at a level that is not that far off achieving something. The base is there. The £2-300million he would demand to rebuild isnt there and isnt warranted. That said the current squad stopped being geared to play that high-energy pressing game that was Poch style up until last year so he will either need to tweak the personnel or the tactics and style. So in the same breath, the squad will have to adapt to him also.

  5. When Adidas sign a contract for 40m with a sport club do you think its a donation? They take all the rights and profit of selling shirts, the club will take around 10-15% only. So how do they set and discuss about football when their information is poor about the sport

  6. Danny Mills really is clueless, Spurs defence were amongst the best for two or three seasons, two or three seasons ago. All five look past their prime and in the case of Rose and Vertonghen, waaaaaaaay past their prime.

Get a couple in front of that?! Well given that Mourinho has an awful recent track record of buying players that’s something that Mills makes sound like it could be done overnight; yet the evidence says CERTAINLY NOT!

Also, bringing a team together in adversity?! Evidence of Madrid, Chelsea and Utd says that he splits the team massively. That is TEN YEARS of evidence that just can’t be ignored!

He is short term, buts that’s because by season three everyone at the club is feed up to the back teeth with him, Championship or no Championship.

Spurs have an ageing squad, that even players like 23 year old Dele Alli May need moving on. What they need is a coach you can spot players and coach them into better players. That is the antithesis of Mourinho who wants to by pricey (in terms of transfer, wages or both) ready made pros. The Alderweireld and Rose moves were a prime example of this. It would have only been a couple of seasons before they started going down hill (and in the case of Rose, incredibly rapidly), and clubs are saddled with these players on high wages that they can’t move on.

  7. Mourinho will inject the same poison into spurs, the same way he did at United…… mark my words….he'll do the same, look to get the sack, and look for a big pay off…the guy is a prick…
