  1. appreciate the feedback on this one! reading your comments I definitely missed some important details and miscategories a few stats. The idea of using median instead of averages is a good one, and I missed some important stats for physicality & speed. Got lost in all the numbers.

definitely room for improvement at the end of next season 😂

  2. The only problem of L1 are taxes that push all the young talented players to leave the country to get a better salary. Only PSG (that has enough revenue) and Monaco (that does not have taxes but limited revenue) can keep them in France.

  3. The less dribbles in the serie A should be accounted for in the defensive part
no one goes for dribbles so there are less steals from that
if you dribble in serie a you are in for a rough time
    there's correlation there

  4. Well about La Liga it's more the Spanish players' playstyle and the Spanish manager mentality, that suggests more possession
In my country all the Spanish managers have done just that and if they weren't Spanish managers but had many Spanish footballers that would be the preferred style of play
Personally I don't think of La Liga by itself to be like that, especially since it's mostly Barcelona that delivers that stereotype
The other 2 of the big 3, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are kinda random and more defensive respectively
And everyone else who can't really compete is somehting idk that much of

  5. Good video. But weird selection of metrics. I mean for control associated with la liga, average possession and number of total passes might be the most appropriate one. Also, for speed and physicality, sprints are not accounted. Just tackles. Moreover, when leagues have lower goal conversion or poor finishing over another league, how can we tell whether it is due to poor finishing ability of one league or poor defensive ability of other league.

  6. Defensive solidity doesn't necessarily mean interceptions only. There is tackles as well as duels and last but not least how much a team sits back and parks the bus. The Italian teams often use low blocks as a result they are known as defensive league. Just like Athletico Madrid a low block and then fast transaction to you strikers. There are so many factors then how are you measuring by only counting Interceptions.
