  1. I somewhat agree but injuries are a big part of it. I also played football on a full ride and retired because of injuries, head injuries. At that level everyone’s really good. Luck and catching breaks matters.

  2. Think about it like this. Only 53 players make 1 roster. You gotta be one of the best 1696 players in the world to keep a roster spot and thats including starting. Each team gets 12 practice squad spots and there are only 384 can make that. I’m telling you. It’s very very difficult to make it to the league. I was just short and I had to accept the fact that I just wasn’t good enough to make it and that’s the case for 95% of people.

  3. It's true. Not every hardworking 6'4 very atheltically gifted guy will make it into pro sports. As a matter of fact, MOST hardworking 6'4 athletically gifted guys won't make it pro. Only a fraction of a fraction will. This happens accross all sports, that's why people should be ready and have backup plans. I wouldn't say it is a waste of time because prospects earn a lot of real world experience (e.g. hard work, dedication etc.) but it leaves a lot of kids and young adults unsure of what to do next as they spent so years on it.

  4. "Made varsity". That trips ke out as someone that went to a really small school. We always had to talk people into playing juist so their would be enough players to have a team.

  5. For my high school, we have multiple coaches that all went in the NFL and they are really good but some had short careers cause of injuries but some my fav coach won a super bowl
