So you’re saying they should over pay for a big name and end up paying another huge buyout in 3 years? After all these huge buyouts I’d be surprised if schools don’t try hiring successful coordinators at a discount. There have been many great coaches hired as coordinators. The craze to hire a big name almost always ends in a huge buyout.

These coaching contracts, especially the amount they get when they fail and leave, are just ridiculous. College football is being ruined.
