  1. quick question, why stick up for Drogba…… Did the sunday supplement have a debate about Drogbas reaction, or Rooneys when repersenting his country????????

  2. for you to win the champions league you either must have Messi or Ronaldo on the team, they are the two players who are currently playing that have braked the champions goals record. They play in Spanish teams. The last 5 champions league winners were Spanish. And also you need to come from currepted a country like Spain or even my own (Portugal) a can buy the referees.

  3. The two champions league games between Liverpool and City showed salah should win the POTY award. He scored two of the most important goals in the tie. De Bruyne didn't do anything big enough to help his side to win. Salah has to win the POTY award. Those two games proved it.

  4. No, Guardiola didn't lose his cool. And I also do not think Guardiola sending off was the pivotal moment, it was one of the pivotal moment certainly, but I think the main pivotal moment was the disallowing of a clear goal. You can also add that a clear penalty wasn't give when Sterling was pulled down in the box.

  5. Salah has been amazing. Only thing is City wouldn't win the league without De Bruyne. People too obsessed with stats these days and they can be very misleading. You only have to look at City's record with and without De Bruyne!!

  6. I don't see Buffon as a bully, he told what he thought that it was maybe 10% of a penalty (in my opinion it was maybe 70%) and to give it on the last minute you have to be heartless. Let them decide who's better in the extra time… Not sure how is that being a bully.
Also I don't agree with this "you have to respect the referee, blah blah…", you can't demand respect, you have to earn it and yes, if you made a mistake why should you be above criticism? We criticize players when they underperform, we do same with coaches when team underperforms but referee is above that? If anything they don't have enough scrutiny. Let them talk after the game, what they saw when they made a wrong decision.

  7. Is this about football or a platform for pc opinions .and does everyone keep pausing speech for some in house journalist speak affect .they talk utter shite and use unrelated words that mean nothing at all .

  8. There's a reason England has no refs going to the world cup this summer… They are horrible, Buffon had every right.. They were 20 seconds away from a semi final

  9. A club do not sanction £300 million pounds in defensive reinforcements alone if they are satisfied with where the club are at. Pellefrini was a PL winner and was even 1st before the guardiola announcement, and he got to the CL semi finals; more than Pep can say at this point. Yes by normal standards this is a successful season, but I’d argue that the owners have a much shorter fuse than would be expected. Such a bold approach means they have no choice but to go all out. I don’t believe that this current city team is that much better than anything Pellegrini could have built with the same level of financial backing (maybe slightly more attractive football, but it wasn’t exactly bad before). Anyone who doesn’t realise that the Champions league is the primary aim needs to open their eyes.

  10. Let's calm down a minute… To call Gigi Buffon a disgrace after his actions is a total over reaction, the man lost his cool yes and his actions were over the line yes, but in a moment like that after a game like that it is somewhat understandable Considering he did not lay a hand on Oliver you have gone too far, the man is a legend of the game and forever will be, didn't see such an uproar when Joe Heart went head to head with Oliver, but hey that is English punditry for you.

  11. How many games can u afford to lose in you opinion an still win the league? Or even draw…an then take the champions league, barca 4-1 go to Roma an they turn it round with that cup mentality its yous or us…nah sry m8 I cant agree! I guess ever1 is different 🤝 ynwa
