gerrard
Eric was an artist on the field more influential than any player over ever seen inspired generations to titles . Thierry fucked off and arsenal won nothing and haven't since. Errrrm
It has to be a Manchester United player simply because they won the most PL titles.
I'd go with Ryan Giggs who played in that 1992-93 team all the way till 2014
winning 13 titles out of 22 years.
For me it's Cantona, without question. In time people will probably put van Dijk in a similar realm of influence. But for Cantona his legacy is set in stone. He joined a very good team and helped make them great. I have a hard time putting someone like Henry above him, even though Henry was certainly a better player. Arsenal were already a great team before he joined and he helped them to more success, but the coinciding of Utd's success in the 90s and Cantona's arrival makes his influence seem more direct and meaningful.
Shearer scored more goals than Henry…
Vvd
The question was not who was the best goal machine. The question was who was the most influential!
Cantona wins that conversation, and Henry is not even IN the conversation.
I agree Schmeichel is up there as well.
Souness spends the most amount of time saying absolutely nothing. Its gotta be Bergkamp. No big name foreign players came over in and around their prime before him. Game changer
Does Souness talk about anything other then himself ?
Biased bitter blue nosed dinosaur
Failed manager yet on sky preaching
Cr7 agree
Henry is the best ever premier league player, based on what he did in the league. CR however is the best player to play in the PL. As for others, you can't overlook what players like Shearer, Drogba, Lampard, Keane, Vieira, Scholes, Terry, Gerrard, Bergkamp, Zola, Van Nistelrooy even Suarez did. Giggs of course also has to be up there, considering his success, even though you couldn't pinpoint him having one standout season.
One of the biggest influences on a team has to be John Terry. Haven’t had many leaders like him in the premier league
David icke is very influential. Never played in the premier league though
Eric was special, he set the foundation for United and EPL to become the global brand it is.. He also led the way for the influx of foreign players to come to the EPL, not many did well in England b4. He was unfairly criticized by Jaime for not showing up in big games, he single handed won us the league in 95/96. His head and heart wasn't set on football in 97, probably due to being left out of Euro96? He put on loads of weight in 97 and wasn't his usual self then.
Hurts my head to listen to a nothing player like Redknapp rating players so far out of his level
Cant believe souness didnt say pogba
Easily it’s kante won 2 leagues titles with 2 different teams consecutively then won the World Cup all that while he had a smile on his face
Has to be Eric Cantona
Cristiano Ronaldo not a bad shout
Roy Keane for United no arguments imo
Lord bendtner the goat
Roy keane no debate.
David ginola needs a shout great player for Newcastle and spurs
Graeme Souness… Bell end of the highest order
Roy keane miles ahead for me
Cantona. Next question.
Makes me cringe when these pundits talk about David Silva’s “goals”. Fantastic player but his goal scoring record is pretty dreadful
George Best !Eric Cantona !Dennis Bergkamp! Roy Kean! Therrie Henry! And Joey Barton as a sub 🙂
Roy Keane most influential. Captained a dominant Manchester United team throughout. What a player.
The best is Henry.
The most influential is Roy Keane or Eric Cantona. IMO
And then you have Jamie Redknapp's cleaner just walking around
I remember when Sir Alex Ferguson said that Steven Gerrard was “the most influential player in England, bar none”. Now how can Man Utd fans argue with their messiah??
As a Man Utd fan… I gotta say Henry
Cantona was a different breed it would be an embarrassment to not call him the most influential
Eric Cantona. At the time. It changed Manchester United.
Most influential is Cantona by far, you hear the Class of 92 saying how if it wasn’t for him they wouldn’t achieve even half of what they achieved. 4 league titles in 5 years, and the year we didn’t win it he missed due to suspension. Amazing player, charismatic, class, elegant he was so graceful as a player and was the leader without the armband. Cantona was the catalyst for the United juggernaut that would dominate English football for 20 years, if that’s not influential then I don’t know what is.
Gerrards a fair shout. He reminded a lot of people what football is really about. Man united fans actually wanted the Liverpool captain to win the league in the end. Only a few. But most other fans of any other club too. Gerrard. Henry. Cantona for me, in any order
Bergkamp, Roy Keane, Steve G,
Influence, is bullshit, it’s like saying who’s good,
The answer is Cantona, not just influential to his team but to the entire culture.
Cantona…next question!
Eric Cantona no doubt, He made his team win the league in every full season he played.. 91/92 Leeds champions , 92/93 and 93/94 Man Utd champions , 94/95 Eric Banned United lose the title. 95/96,96/97 United win the League again. Show me a more influential player that made his team win as Eric did.
Wonder who the Lady is wandering around in the background, certainly isn't Louise. 🙂
Yaya Toure for MAN CITY.. HE made them a power house… at his prime.. the ¨¨
is souness wearing his airpods upside down???
Don't ask 2 ex liverpool players with natural bias against Manchester United about Cantona. Jamie just contradicts himself.
