  1. They can't say Salah because he is not from their countries. Haters and racism against africans are growing. Mo Salah is the best in the world right now. And he is in the top 3 best players of all-time in the Premier league

  2. What palmer 😂 you said remove numbers , states , tactics 😂 then what left as ( professional player ) funny u said 😂😂😂 i can’t believe u said that as professional sports tv host 😂

  3. Salah’s so disrespected. If anyone else was having the season he’s having there would be no debate. He’s literally on course to smash a bunch of records.

  4. Palmer and Salah are the clear top 2, but Palmer’s better for me. Most people let goals and assists decide for them, but I think people place too much emphasis on it and the game goes beyond that.

Just watch full games or look at some of the advanced metrics to give you a better idea of their impact. Salah has 11 assists in the league and Palmer has 6, yet Palmer’s created 48 chances this season and Salah’s created 32. Creative models like expected assists and expected assisted goals also have them neck and neck. Salah having more assists doesn’t mean he’s necessarily been more creative, he just has been the recipient of better finishing on the end of his passes. Watch games or look at the underlying numbers and I don’t think most people come to the conclusion Salah’s more creative.

    Shot-creating actions per 90: Salah – 4.40, Palmer – 5.56.

Salah’s been marginally the better goalscorer this season. 12 non-penalty goals vs 9. But he’s also playing in a slightly better team and a different position with different responsibilities. I think the average quality of Palmer’s goals have been better too, although that doesn’t mean Salah hasn’t scored a lot of great goals this season of course.

Nothing wrong with thinking Salah’s been the best. He’s on fire. I just think a lot of people are dismissing Palmer too easily. He’s been working with a lot less space in games this season yet has still been one of the most creative players in the league and a clinical goalscorer. Every game he’s playing in a very restrictive position/system and teams are targeting him by packing out the middle. Yet he’s still finding ways to impact games.
