  1. South Africa ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ is a sleeping giant…the young talent under 23 is insane ๐Ÿ”ฅ

The development structures are finally taking shape and reaping results. 80% of the team is locally based too

Morocco have a great mix of local and international players + exceptional development

  2. To say gulf arabs have a cultural connection to africa but not southern europe is a kind of a stretch. As a European i would have given already a WC to West or North-Africa. They unlike the Gulf have football merits and real fans.

  3. My prediction is that Morocco will continue to struggle on the African continent but will also continue to shine on the world stage more than any other African nation. Moroccos players know how to play against top world football powers while in africa I feel like they just donโ€™t care and want to go back to their clubs

  4. If an African country were to win the WC, it would be either Morocco or Cameroon. These two nations are capable of beating any national team in the world, should in case they are fully focused and motivated. I personally believe that FIFA would make it quite impossible for Africa to break the Latino-European dominance for commercial reasons. The proof was the France vs Morocco semifinal where the North Africans were deprived from a legitimate penalty that could have been the equalizer. However, the day that the WC will become African will come sooner or later. We hope that it will occur in our lifetime.

  5. At the moment, NONE! Football level or quality in Africa is not stable. A few years back, Cameroon, Algeria or even Nigeria or Ghana could have. Today, best case is Morocco, but I haven't seen them play in the last year so would not bet on them.

  6. Morocco ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐Ÿฆ is likely to create a surprise in the near future, inch'Allah.

Nevertheless, some nations, such as Senegal, Cรดte d'Ivoire, Nigeria and Egypt, also have the ability to compete with all teams.

  7. We need a structure & good host leagues to boost the national teams in places where the diaspora players cannot help. This is why the likes of Ghana have struggled. The gap is closing in Africa with teams that rely on local leagues v the diaspora. Thats why I back the countries only with a decent structure at home & decent network abroad to win.

  8. Senegal didn't come closest. Morocco did as they are the only African team in history to reach the semi-final. They could've even gone to the final if half their starting squad wasn't injured and VAR gave the penalty to Boufal. But that's all "what if". That being said, going forward, I think Morocco, Algeria, Sengal, and Egypt all have an equal chance at the next World Cup. Yes, Morocco might be a bit better developed but their talents are matched by the other top African teams. I think Algeria is going to surprise a lot of people. And I say that as a Moroccan. So it's going to be fair game.
