For me the problem is the limited rest time. The short period between the last game of last season and then having a short pre-season is more of a problem than most realise i think. So little rest.

I think Gomez gets massively underrated, every time he comes in for Trent he’s played phenomenal. Give him a chance in tough defensive games.
one name is Mane, you sell your best player last season if we had won the champions league he would have been a strong contender for ballon dor . Trent is an airhead on defence, it's so clear in games that he's on another planet and doesn't really care. No excuses need to be made for a lack of effort and ability on the defensive end
