  1. i have tryouts for three days this week. today was day one, pretty simple, we ran a mile and had to beat coach, did abs, did legs, and did some sprints. tomorrow i need my cleats because we will be doing ball control with oursleves and thursday we will be scrimmage with other footwork

  2. On my trial i always have play on midfield but got put on defense because it was a four vs four type of game i carry my team block some shots and help my keeper I also beat some guy in a 1v1 and score I think that was what my coach was looking for

  3. I’m a early middle schooler who is a all around sports machine, and i had tryouts, it was just a little practice tryout the was short and focused on passing. The main tryouts are next week, so wish me luck..

    2 days away..

  4. I am the person who tells the coach I can play any positions other than goalie because I have experience playing in each position from practices, scrimmages and even games. I used to be a really good defensive player but my coach put me as offensive once and I scored the first goal in the game when it was second half. So I've gotten better playing offensive then defense now.

  5. Im always nervous and never ask for the ball because I think I’m going to mess it up and I’m really not that good on the ball as a defender

  6. Trying out for my high school soccer team tomorrow even though I have almost zero experience with soccer. Maybe if I show the coach good attitude and potential I can be benched or something until I’m a better player🤞🏽.

  7. I got knee surgery 3 months ago just about and im just getting back into soccer seriously but still light weight training and no treadmill yet and a team contacted my mom saying they want me to tryout 🤦‍♂️ im scared im under prepared cuz i havent ran treadmill in like 6 months

  8. My son just found out that he will not be making it to his team this year. He’s tried out with him twice and made it but this time he didn’t. The league lost a coach that coaches, another team and now he has a combine into one team. There was 45 kids a child and they can only select 18. I haven’t told my son the news yet but I know that he’s going to take it pretty hard. In the back of my mind, I knew that he may not make it because they are some things that he needs to work on that he’s not strong in. He did a lot of the things that you mention to not do in the trial. He was doubting himself. And he didn’t make the best of his ability trying to figure out which way I can tell him the news without it crushing his self-esteem.

  9. I’ve got female middle school tryouts next week. Pretty nervous because I haven’t played in a few months but I’ve been keeping pretty good shape. Anyone have tips for how to prepare this week?

  10. I’ve played HS soccer for two years on jv and I’m a senior now so your required to make varsity and I really hope I do but I struggle with a lot of anxiety when the ball is coming towards me and I don’t always have the best coordination when kicking. I am mainly put in as forward but I also enjoy playing outside midfield but idk how to prove that I can make varsity when I’m struggling with some of the barriers I just mentioned. Also Covid affected our team numbers the past couple years so mainly everyone who tried out made the team but we have a larger number this year so I’m a little nervous:(

  11. A couple days ago in gym we were playing soccer (all girls) and I have middle schoo, tryouts at the end of October, I was able to play striker in gym and scored 2 goals, but I’m actually a left back.

  12. I get nervous when I play and everyone else is so much better than me when I play and it discourages me. I have tryouts coming again soon and I have to face the same players, what can I do?
