But what if you're not involved with the play if you're in an offside position but the person doesn't pass to you but kicks it directly into the goal are you still off side

Also, the ball has to be played forward.
If the ball is played sideways or backwards to you, it doesn’t matter where you are.
So don't go past any of the opposing team member's and don't interfere with the ball or players in any way so you can remain in the opponents half but for how long can you not interfere the ball and what's the point in being offsides if that offsides player can't do anything ?
So don't go past any of the blue dots and don't interfere with the ball in any way (which i couldn't see a reason the red dot would want to since that looks like it would be a goal attempt from its team so he wouldn't need to block or steal the ball )
