  1. Raheem Sterling being labelled a role model is a joke… This is a guy who has previously been arrested for driving under the influence of laughing gas and again for being under the influence of alcohol. Again for fighting in Liverpool's city centre and once again for beating up his girlfriend. He had 3 children before he reached the age of 21 too! Yes he's an amazing footballer and him being so vocal against racism is great but in no circumstance is he a role model. He's a petulant little chav who can't take losing (a trait taught out of fooballers at the ages of 8-10). I agree the tabloids give him some stick but don't act like it's not deserved just because he's in form and English.

  2. So, what is new? You got adrenaline rushing through your veins when your are on the pitch. Even we, who have played football, but not on a professional level, know that. "What happens on the pitch, stays on the pitch," should be the general rule to live by.

  3. This is a non issue. Anyone who's ever been part of a male team, or any masculine environment knows fights break out. There's a war against balls!

  4. So biased. Saying Sterling is bejng made a Scapegoat?? Hes brought shame to the england team and let his team mates. If its a lesser player attacking sterling i feel theyd have a diff opinion.

  5. We are better without that under achieving little prick. He should have been banned. Its a message. We knew we would win without him. Ox is a better rounded player anyway.

  6. Raheem sterling is the best player so far for england he is faster good dribbler often create chances he is important for england ,my honest opinion

  7. Most boring af pundits who spent 21 minutes telling us nothing…um, except apparently football is super secret, fans should be told zilch and that when a footballer assaults a team mate they should get no punishment at all…where do these losers come from, ESPN rejects?

  8. Jeez. I can't believe we are having debates about a cat fight. Done and dusted made no difference to the team tonight. And who said it was someone in the sqaud. Could it not of been a member of the england training centre staff. Cluedo. Mrs white in the kitchen with an iphone

  9. Hippy crack Sterling a great role model???? For whom, Sterling assaulted joe Gomez at the England camp because he bore a grudge from the last game, what is there to defend

  10. Why did Gomez and others laugh at sterling when he walked in the canteen. Gomez bringing club rivalry into internationals. Once again Liverpool have something to do with it
