Good Lord is that an awful video. Five Minutes searching would have told you that Bayern Munich has less points in the Bundesliga and is less successful in the Champions League compared to the same time with Thomas Tuchel. And the only reason they are currently at the top in the Bundesliga is that there biggest rivals from last year are currently struggleing. Oh, and they lost early in the DFB Pokal too. So nothing is really better. It only looks that way.
this is actually very similar to how rangers play and bayerns old system is similar to celtics. rangers are usually possesion heavy and have everyone in the oppositions half but only score 1-2 goals per game because the goal is so conjested but they usually win most their games. celtic also have a lot if possesion as they are better than the teams they face but their style of play is more like old bayern where they focus on good passing, pacy wingers and clinical strikes from in and outside the box

People really are overrating Kompany's Bayern based on looks. This is what "visually pleasing" does to perceptions.
2023/24 season after MD15:
Bayern: 38 points, 48 goals scored, 14 goals conceded
2024/25 season after MD15:
Bayern: 36 points, 47 goals scored, 13 goals conceded
There are 2 differences between those 2 seasons:
– Bayern's play LOOKS way better than under Tuchel
– Leverkusen isn't on almost a 100 point pace season (39 points in 2023/24 vs 32 points in 2024/25 on MD15).
Kompany was the 8th choice for the job. They can't be proven right…. They didn't even want him.
They're great but against strong teams they crumble
