James Benge is an overrated football journalist.
I didn't think the scab refs did a bad job, at least not any worse than the normal ref, but for god sakes, put them in business class and let them stay at the marriot for f's sake.

Those replacements did fine. She just toed the line that she was told to toe. Regular refs make catastrophic calls every week. One double yellow example is the best she's got? I'll answer the question from Jimmy: it was terrible for the lockout based on the performance of the replacements. I still think she will eventually be proven right, but not based on this week

Brits like James Benge frustrate me. He's been taking shots at Pulisic for a while. Of all the forwards in Europe, he's saying the most overrated is Pulisic? Since he brought up Chelsea, yeah he was injured (a lot), but when he wasn't he was getting passed over in lieu of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, and eventually Mykhaylo Mudryk (all of whom should be on your list, James Benge). Before his move to Milan, my guy was getting played at wingback! xG and xA are only part of a big picture, and your interpretation of them shows your lack of understanding of the game. Marsh mentions player talent, but it also doesn't reflect the tactics behind whether or not a certain player is involved in goals.
Pulisic is one of the best players on the Milan side and that's what was expected of him when they bought him. He's been healthy, and he's been performing his role. So why is he catching strays?
James Benge makes a young reporters mistake in going to stats. You don't really need stats here. Pulisic has done very well overall at AC Milan. Take a deeper look he has not scored against any major opponent except Lazio and his CL goal.
So his other 6 goals while great and key for wins have come against teams players like him are expected to score. AC Milan fans really like Pulisic but have noted to me that they want to see him do his magic against Inter, Juventus, in major matches. I think for year one he will get away with good player settling in.
Next season Pulisic has to get big goals in big games. And that's CL, Juve, Inter, Roma, Napoli.

Every Milan match I watch I'm baffled by an over ambitious effort from distance at least 7-8 times. How they are allowed to glory shoot at will without getting subbed is confounding. Is it because flamboyance is part of their culture?
