  1. USA is definitely a favorite as Bosnia lets be honest is pretty slow and defense is not that good; so making it to this round is already a success and they should be very proud; if Pulišić (why is he ashamed of his Croatian last name is a question as he forces weird pronounciation to Pulasik he might as well change the spelling then) is on fire it will be difficult for Bosnian defense

  2. 3M land is coming to smash you guys 😁 im just joking, butnin football can anything happen. If it was our team 5 years ago, we would smash you like you nothing, but now, its just 40y old Dzeko with some kids coming to have fun. Anything more is bonus for us now

  3. US should not even be in the World Cup taking into the account the fact they attacked a sovereign nation, Iran.
The hypocrisy of FIFA is out of this world and it is obvious it is a political tool, not the sporting governing body. You disqualify Russia from all the competitions because they attacked Ukraine, and rightly so, but why is the US an exception? I pray 🙏 Bosnia beats you on your own soil as a moral statement more than anything else!

  4. **The most important analysis you’ll read about USMNT**:

Tim Ream is the biggest weak point in the USMNT squad. He lacks the recovery speed and because of this Robinson is needed in the squad to cover him. The cascading issue from this is neither Tim Ream nor Robinson are gifted in possession or providing that creativity. We’ve seen in the games without Pulisic that the left wing is ineffective at producing opportunities in the attacking 3rd. With our biggest threat coming from when Robinson gets so disconnected from Tim Ream we’re left with 2 situations: Robinson leaves Ream isolated and gets forward or Robinson stays connected to Ream and Pulisic (our most important player in the team) becomes at minimum playing in 1v2 situations.

Unfortunately for him and despite him being well liked, Ream needs to be replaced in the team for a player that has the recovery speed to handle counterattacks. On of the most creative uses of a 3 man CB pair in the last 5 years has come from Freeman and his uniqueness to underlap and overlap Dest late on the right side (I can’t praise Pochettino enough for this) and what I think we learned from the Türkiye game was were fortunate enough to have 2 players capable of playing in that role.

Trusty did very well on that left side shutting down the counter having a game leading 5 defensive contributions with 4 of them coming from interceptions. He had the pace to get up and down the pitch. Türkiye attempted to attack down Trusty’s side 47% of the time but on produce 11% of their chances from that side. A monumental 77% shutdown rate down that side and needless to say but it was nearly exclusively Trusty with Weah, Gio, and Mackenzie not providing much of anything on their own.

Trusty isn’t as gifted on the ball as Freeman is but still is able to cycle possession as effectively as Ream while also being able to hit the long diagonal switches.

For this change forward the un-cascading can begin. Robinson’s recovery speed and defensive cover is no longer needed to the degree it was with Ream as it is now with Trusty so we can look to get creative with a more complete threat down that left side to support Pulisic. One of the most surprising and important aspects to the team in our first 2 matches was Tillman and his workrate off the ball. He has played out wide for a good majority of his career so far and has been one of if not the most consistent player in possession for us this tournament. All of this added together makes for a perfect bridge from attack to defense and defense to attack down that side with Pulisic making it that much easier to get our best player on the ball in dangerous areas. With Tillman moving out wide and Robinson coming off that allows us to bring in another central player and from his cameo against Paraguay, there’s no better player to add than Gio Reyna when also surrounded by talent.

Allow Gio and Pulisic to occupy the half spaces just off of Balogun, Dest having the ability to link up with Gio who is likely our 2nd to 3rd most creative player in the squad while Tillman is again able to be that paper clip for Pulisic down that left side and provide a level of quality in possession we haven’t had in the build up down that side in years. Adams and McKennie would be used in a double pivot just behind Pulisic and Gio. The beauty of this double pivot is that it allows for such a large combination of options to break forward late from the back 5 of McKennie, Adams, Trusty, and Freeman. As long as 2 player stay home to help support Richards and other combination could get forward creating an absolute nightmare for the opposition to pick up who’s making the late runs and where that late support is coming from.

This 3-6-1 formation with a central 4 creates a huge overload almost immediately in key areas of the pitch both when in and out of possession. This plays exactly into our preference for of being a counter pressing team and allows us to breakdown low block opposition unlike any other team in the tournament, through localized overloads not quick East-West movements (especially in a team not specifically suited for creating and taking chances from crosses into the box from open play).

There’s so many positives that could come from just those 2 small shifts and would by far make us the most unique team in the tournament and the only team where using a low block against us plays to our benefit.

  5. Weather Bosnia wins or loses in our hearts they are winners, our country was supposed to be wiped of the map and these players were never supposed to be alive or born ❤ good luck to both teams ✌🏻

  6. 4-4-2 , man says the easiest way to play football , hahaha , you guys are so funny , you are applying the same logic as your do in American Football, and none of you to even mention Edin Dzeko is how much you know about football . You really think that one man can cover Dzeko ??
