  1. They'll be fine. The winner of Group C where England is has an easier route to the semifinals. So does the winner of Group F. The 24-team format is inherently flawed.

  2. Unlike most other countries, England football fans see selection to their national team as an inconvenience, an impediment to their only true goals: the premier league title and the champions league title.

  3. The truth is English coaching is why England will never win anything. English coaches are widely seen as the worst in the world. They are like 15 years behind the rest of the world in tactics. An English coach has never won the Premier League, which is embarrassing. Southgate is a bad English coach and as Italian coach Trappatoni once said a great coach will make a team 10% better, a bad coach will make team 80% worse and Southgate is the later.

  4. I think England are just tired from playing all season in there club fixtures. I don’t see any fight and will to win. The fact that Southgate was allowed to be the manager in the first place says it all.

  5. What can they learn? Um, that having Southgate as their manager might be the dumbest decision in the history of major world football and that they'll be regretting the missed opportunities over the past six years for the next several generations. Likely. Probably.
