One time I was playing catcher and the pitcher just started his motion when out of the corner of my eye I saw a child running on to the field. I immediately held my hands up and yelled “HOLD.” Everyone looks at me all confused and I go to point at the child and it was just the base runner. Ump called the balk and everyone looked at me crazy 😭

There were kids that were athletic and big but couldn’t remember the playbook for shit. Then there were kids like me, who could tell you the entire playbook, but couldn’t block, catch, or run worth a damn😂😂 If you could do both from a young age then you probably went some place
