I don't think British people appreciate what an assist machine he became at the twilight of his career. In the MLS he did what giggs did later at man u. They both lost pace but could still read the game so well that they almost became goal scoring midfielders. Very unselfish. Both of them knowing Paul Scholes would have helped, the King of the perfectly weighted killer last pass
