When rooney was at his peak, I used to think when he was playing "Is he the best player in the world ?" because he had everything in his footballing locker then i quickly remember that a certain messi existed that was from another planet. rooney remains the best english forward ive seen in my life only harry kane comes close but he doesnt have rooneys phisicality that made rooney exciting. physical pitbull + excellent technique+high football iq= rooney

Rooney played like us fans think like we could but realistically we never could.
Imo very underrated player, in his peak he walks into any team no questions, I believe he was the complete footballer he could do it all, you could put him anywhere and you'd believe he would deliver, unlike the shit bags now having hissy fits playing on other wing ffs.
It's sad to say but I believe his personal issues actually made him the player we love, once he mellowed he just wasn't the same, nevertheless Rooney is imo one of the best players i ever seen.
