Whilst I love MLS and Dwyer is one of the better players he is nothing more than a fox in the box, pest, defensive forward who works his butt off but honestly.. he is English league 1 standard!… as entertaining as the mls is this is the same league that makes Altidore, BWP, Grella ect look like Brazilians in reality Dwyer is levels behind Piatti and Giovincco who again would struggle in the Premier League!

As an English person, I would love to see him playing upfront for our country with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Daniel Sturridge or Danny Welbeck.. But the Roy Hodgson wouldn't go for him because he likes to pick players who play for rival teams and can't play together… I say go for the USMNT because he will relish there with the likes or Zardes, Altidore and Dempsey around him. Push on Dom

Kansas fan here, I think Dom has the skill to play for England at some point in his life time. Even one game would probably give him the confidence to to even better.
with the crap 2014 that England had i wouldn't be surprised if they actually call him. So while him playing for the USMNT would be a treat, the fact England had a shit year and keeps struggling gives a lot of possibilities for him to play for them.

To think there are Americans who think the USA is a better team than England just because of the last World Cup. Dom Dwyer is like the 45th choice England striker and if he played for the USA, he would be the best striker in the U.S. Team.
Hey! If they don't want him it's their loss, we will be happy to take him and make sure he scores a goal against his own nation who did not even think about him.

He deserves to play for england, after all England's usual options usual fail at Worlds Cups and Euros. But the FA won't want him, let alone keep an eye on him because he's not an overrated local English Premier League player
Would be funny if Dom Dwyer and Dilly Duka were on the same team, especially the national one cuz of their names.
He seems like a really nice guy and a very good prospect. A shame he wants to take the US route and not stick with the England option. Then again (I hate to say it but) playing in the MLS probably won't get him the recognition for a spot in the England lineup

Such a cool player. He has a really great attitude and he is now part of a true power couple of soccer with his lovely wife, Sydney LeRoux. Together, they are quite a head-turning, eye catching pair.
