Full credit to Cruz Azul. they were a much better team on the day and in payroll. But they have been resting for 2 weeks waiting for the Whitecaps while the caps have played 4 games and traveled 9300 miles to those and this game. MLS needs to look at putting their teams in better position leading up to these finals. The Whitecaps should not haved played on the wednesday in a league game.

As a Mexican, I'm not a pitty arrogant. Our league sucks and it has been on decay for a decade. I certainly can't understand why you still can't beat our teams, but looking at your tournament, it has the exact same problems as ours: low interest from part of executives and greedy owners. Old players, no promotion or relegation of 2nd division teams, a barely competitive tournament system, and an absurd preferences for foreigner players, instead of improving the quality of local rookies. Neither of us can grow doing things like this.

MLS has caught up to LigaMX. 🤣🤣🤣 Yeah, ssssuuuurrreeee it has. but but but but but LAFC? You mean the French National Team beating Club America? When will EVERYONE here wake the hell up??? MLS is a POS league! Always has been. The only thing that makes it watchable are the foreigners. You get rid of them, and the MLS is no better than it was in 1996. Also, most of America doesn't care about this sport so don't expect for anything to change anytime soon.
Liga MX is poorly managed and in crisis, but it's still better than MLS because of its football tradition. What we saw on Sunday is a testament to that. Only Pumas has lost finals against American teams, Cruz Azul is the hammer of gringo teams.

The Vancouver White Caps deserve all the credit in the world for eliminating some of the best Concacaf teams on the way to the final: Saprissa, Monterrey, Pumas, and Miami Inter. Long live White Caps!

Last year in direct liga MX and MLS competition, ligamx outscored them 38 to 15 goals. This year is a bit better but they still doubled their scores at 22 to 11 for mls.

This is the Cruz Azul I remember as a kid dominating playing with out fear like the 1997 Continental Treble and the 2001 run in Copa Libertadores making the Final vs Boca Jrs. A lot of emotions last night from fans.That’s why our club is nickname La Máquina because this big club would roll through teams like nothing and win championships back to back earning a respect and reputation. I bet the young Liga Mx fans and the MLS don’t even know that Cruz Azul was the first North American club to win a Continental Treble back in 1968-69 and be place amongst top clubs like Liverpool and Bayern who also achieved Treble in that era wich is hard to get. And we’re still 2x Treble holders in the region. I love this club as a die hard fans man we have suffered but this team is special only conceived 1 gol in Champions and lost only 2 games this season.
Im from Mexico and I actually wanted Vancouver to win since they are the first Canadian team making it to a Final and they were 🔥 playing great , they even eliminated my team Monterrey but I don’t know what happened to them in the final …

Respect for the Whitecaps. Scheduling surely affected them; the MLS didn't support them. Mexican teams have gone through the same scheduling non-sense, playing away games only in the Leages Cup, having to travel all over the States. It's ridiculous. Messi and friends, however, get preferential treatment.
They play good games win over Monterrey Pumas but Cruz Azul has hungry 🤤 to win 🏆 the trophy 🏆 and we see the real level is not the same play against mls teams to Liga Mx !
