  1. Sounders had nothing but both red cards were horrible calls. I think the central defender would have covered and the forward was a long ways from goal on the wing. On the second one the striker was hardly touched at all and folded like a cheap tent.

  2. Sounders started winning when Ragen was out, first two games back and goals just given to the opposition. He’s pitch presence is lazy, and it brings down the entire defensive mentality.

Schmetzer slowing down Pedro de la Vega is frustrating as well. The team needs to match his energy. Jesus also very slow lately. Pace and pressure is missing, possession doesn’t win anything.

  3. The Second RED CARD for me is incorrect, of course the legs of both of them touched but is not intentional from Seattle Sounders player. For me that is Yellow CARD.

  4. Jesper was concerned (rightly) with the international call ups. He couldn’t have foreseen this. Players tonight responded quite well. The gaffer must be chuffed.

  5. This referee needs to be fired. And I don’t say that lightly.

First red on Nouhou is correct so moving on.

Second red card on Bell is a disgrace. There is no reason for a red card. The players are just running. Bell does nothing wrong and is punished for running. Referees have a job to make calls in the spirit of the game and a red card for that is an absolute and utter disgrace. A foul would have been acceptable but a red card is not warranted at all.

Somehow it wasn’t shown here but Kossa Rienzi was shoved in the back when he was through on goal and the whitecaps weren’t given a red card for a DOGSO as clear as the one on Nouhou.

Not to mention the referee was constantly in the way of the game when the Sounders were in position. I understand refs accidentally get in the way sometimes but it was noticeable how much more often than normal this referee was in the way. Once the ball even hit the referee when the Sounders were in possession and it fell to the Whitecaps. No call. The bias from this referee was clear and if there’s an investigation for his actions I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if he is punished for his actions in this game. I haven’t seen this poorly of a job from a referee in a long time. The only other time I have ever called for a referee to be fired is back when Mark Geiger was still reffing. That’s how bad this referee was for anyone who only watched the highlights

  6. Congrats on a well deserved victory Vancouver, despite having started a depleted team against our pretty much first choice starting XI (barring 3-4 players). I'm not and nor can I even be mad at you. I'm just utterly disappointed and furious with my abomination of a team.

  7. Despite not liking soccer, I went here for a family trip and I actually enjoyed it! My first soccer game I’ve been to as well.
