  1. Great game and a very fun atmosphere. But dang, I really wish there was a stadium in New York/NYC because although the PATH is good, 20-40 minutes for a train in the heat is a little much with thousands of people trying to leave. Hopefully, they can play at the new NYCFC stadium 🤓 or transform Yankee/Citi Field stadiums for the USWNT/Gotham games, which I think would significantly improve attendance specifically for Gotham

  2. if anyone feels some kind of way about me saying that the national team will not win the Olympics check back with me after the Olympics and let’s see who is right

  3. The U.S. still has the same issue, scoring. This game should have been at least 3-0. Their passing especially out of the back was a little bit crazy and sloppy at times. I attended the game and it’s was insanely hot. I will never understand why it was not played at night.

  4. Great game … HORRIBLE event. Red Bull Stadium seems like a nice facility … but we were in traffic outside an hour before kickoff and STILL missed the start because of the utter lack of parking; we had to park over a mile away and walk. Then multiple concession stands out of water on a KNOWN heat advisory day, with zero supplemental cooling stations provided. The shockingly empty stands after the half are due to the absolute crush of people still in the concourse trying to find some relief from the heat. If the stadium wants to host events like this, they better damn well prepare for them.

  5. It looked like they were playing to win, but not put in too much effort, saving something for the competitive games to come.
Note Germany and Spain played their last games with this in mind and lost them, having already done enough to qualify for the women's Euros.

  6. We have got to stop having home field advantage friendlies or tournaments with the same Sourth or North American teams. The USWNT need to play more European teams (friendlies) in Europe, not the bottom teams either; The Big Boys: Germany, Spain, England and France.

  7. I'm sorry to hear Catarina Macario is hurt. I was really looking forward to her playing with our women's team in the Olympics. Let's hope her knee heals timely, soccer later.

  8. The USWNT still has much to work on, especially on the basics, like loose passes and bad touches. We start playing better in the 60th minute. The patience on the attacking third to pass the ball is a breath of fresh air.
