After a scoreless half in this massive rivalry between USA and Germany both teams brought the intensity up in the second half as Germany was able to defy the odds and finish the game with a victory. Germany was able to secure a goal early in the second half when USA keeper Casey Murphy was charged with an own-goal in the 52nd minute while Paulina Krumbiegel was able to clinch a final goal in the 89th. USA fought a tough battle with a goal from Megan Rapinoe in the 85th but it wasn’t enough to get the win against Germany.

Football(the real game) and even Soccer is one of the only sports where individual skills, and instincts culminating in ultimate team chemistry, if the coaching and training is at a high level, can make a team very successful. Right now, the US is at a 4 or 5 out of 10 compared to the top teams.
germany, spain, and england haven’t been teams we “dominate” since 2018 they’re highly competitive teams that are amongst the best in the world. I agree right now is scary time for this US side but they have 8 months until the world cup and they are competing with the best teams in europe. everyone needs to stop acting as if we are getting whooped. losses teach more than wins and the US women’s side strives under pressure some things just take time everyone needs to calm down. fire vlatko though LMAO
I am rooting for Germany, but don't yet just give up on the US team – they are still highly competitive and very much in there. Sometimes, after the group stage, dice/cards are shuffled differently from what you expected …
The US Women's soccer team no longer enjoys the advantage of decades of more support for girls' sports in the US than elsewhere. So will they return the money they demanded because they said they were better than the men? Will Megan Rapinoe keep her mouth shut for a change and do her talking on the field for once? Probably not.
The US is needs to bring in Loera as a defensive mid and bring in Coffey as well as a Center Mid. Testing players in these friendly matches is great but then we need to make sure we choose the right players as the world cup approaches

This easily could have been 5-2 US. Unlike against Spain and England, they created so many chances. They need more time to gel. Defensively some concerns with marking and speed. Cook got beat way too easily on that second goal. Mistake led to the counter on the first goal – Huerta needed to have situational awareness when she played it into the German defender. We learn more from losing than winning and I am glad to see the team take some knocks. It will refine their game for when it matters. We do need a better holding mid. Perhaps time to experiment with perhaps Dunn or Girma in that role.
Love USA but cheer against the US womens team
Alana Cook, Andy Sullivan, Sophia Huerta, simply cant play at this level, the back right triangle with those three is a complete sloppy mess, all Germany had to do was attack that side. Andy Sullivan was lazy on the 1st goal, Alana Cook lazy on the 2nd Vladko looks confused every game, not too late to fire him, Jill Ellis was hired with a short turn around before 2015.

If soccer were the top sport in the US from the beginning (late 1800s) like most countries, and the US had a proper soccer culture that understood that technique and creativity, not athleticism, were the most important aspects of the sport, the US men would have won multiple World Cups. It's easier to make up the difference in having a little less funding but being part of a country with a proper soccer culture (European women's teams) than having a bit more funding but not having a proper soccer culture (US women). If you equalized both; European women had the same amount of funding as US women from the beginning, but soccer was also the top sport in the US from the beginning (late 1800s), the US men and women would have both won multiple World Cups and always been top teams

Big loss for USwNt, Big win for GERMANY! should the fan to be concerned about this loss! in my option no, the fact that we saw USWNT create several clear chances and that is a good sign! it's just unfortunate they couldn't finish all their chances on the night but that football/soccer, they will just have to be sharper on their last touch..
It should be no surprise to any honest human being that the womens US national team has spiraled into mediocrity. In the US excellence has been under attack by a radical minority for years. An attack on women, oddly enough led by women is also full speed ahead. They even now celebrate men who claim to be women and perform surgery on girls who say they are men. All of this is in the name of equality which is the most ridiculous part of all of it. And one of the biggest mouth pieces of this new womens liberation, that is actually an assault on women is the purple haired wonder herself. The LGBTQ+IA+ social contagion queen Megan Rapino (sp). It's very ironic. No worries in Ameica though. Soon the biological women on the womens team will inevitably be replaced by men who say they are women and they will be dominant again. Just not allowed to play on a world stage. Way to go USA, you went from the envy of the world to an eye roll in under 5 years.
Watch how the experienced players played together to get at least one goal for the team. Morgan got the ball and realized rapinoe was in better spot to take that shot and simply just feeds it. No doubt in mine if that was smith or Pugh they would’ve just went for it by themselves and just run into a wall of defense which would’ve drastically lowered our chance of scoring. This youngsters need to work together and see the game beyond themselves I know they all want to be praised individually cause they’re given a chance to finally shine but if they continue to be ball hogs this team is in serious trouble.

Dont mind losing to good teams, but fans must be honest and start calling spade a spade…
– horan has been horrible for awhile, especially missing chances five feet from goal.
– Huerta and Germa guilty on germany's 1st goal, but Germa was backpedaling for 60 yards instead of coming out to face the attacker.
– Cook was not really guilty on germany's 2nd goal, the winger's move was awesome, she could have beaten any US defender.
– I'm getting tired of Smith, all speed but then bad decision after bad decision in the final third and especially in front of goal.
– Pugh needs to work on shot on goal, she always had this problem, nobody tells her anything she looked out of sync.
– Huerta's good going forward and crossing balls, but she struggles to get back on defense, not athletic enough.
– Rodman is such a great player and athlete, but shows very little when she subs in… total waste of a good player
– Coffey is not ready for this level, not athletic enough and way too many times was missing clearances near her own goal.
– I dont see the work of the Vlatko, I dont know his style of play but Horan is not working in the midfield, she too slow against athletic players
I hope Macario, Ertz, Sam Mewis come back…. Pinoe looks better.
