This team does need younger players, it's slowly becoming a nursing home team.
It’s good they scored early but for the rest of the game, Hatch, who scored the goal pretty much disappeared the rest of the game. The same thing happened in the 2nd game.

Sonnet left uncertainty on her wing defense. It already happened with her on previous game with Australia and they scored
I watched the whole game and found the lack of an ability to put the ball either side of the US keeper alarming. The keeper made several good saves but was helped by the ball being fired directly at her position. I think the US team learned something from the game as late in the game they were more scrappy and threw the Aussies off their game. I think Tegan Mica (Spelling ?) is not a good quality keeper. Every time she has played for the Aussies she has been complicit in at least one game. In this case the second goal went in off her feet. If it hits your body it should not go in. I must say that the commentary team from Fox was very good. I have never heard a US commentary that was so "on the ball". They were relevant to the game and always in touch with the action even when commenting on specific players.

Every few years I check in to see if the women's games still don't suck….and nothing changes. They're slow, unskilled, running into each other, can't shoot, can't pass, can't dribble, no shape……it's awful. Must be so hard for the announcer guy to try and make this sound interesting.

Looks like a great all around game. A few too many chances for Kerr is troubling however. Thankfully Murphy was on-point all match!
Also, how terrible was that whistle when Horan went down. Can't the ref see that Lavelle was clear through? That's definitely an advantage that should have been played to its outcome.
