  1. when will yanks stop stealing english things to describe as their own? Netballl = basketball…. baseball === rounders…. NFL === rugby, WTF is wrong with you people

  2. I enjoyed watching women soccer more than men. Perhaps their movement, the way they score, and even their name are hard to forget: Mia Ham, Hope Solo…

  3. Laughing at you people saying soccer has become a rich white person's sport. The USWNT has Sydney Leroux who is a POC. Also a lot of the players on the team came from very VERY modest backgrounds. There are other POC players like Crystal Dunn who was called to try out she just ended up getting cut. I've seen her play, she's good but certainly doesn't compare to the level these woman are playing at. I agree maybe there needs to be more effort into getting more diversity but I played travel and club soccer for 6 years and the POC kids I knew that played usually quit because they didn't like it or for other sports, obviously white kids did it to but it was more common with POC. Also soccer is not as popular a sport in the U.S. whereas it's the most popular sport in the world so most other countries it's a bigger thing, here everyone plays rec soccer for a few years before moving onto other sports, that goes for most people regardless of skin color. It could also be a popularity thing. Maybe it's not just a race thing, but I understand your concern so just trying to answer your question with what I know, and have see. Because I really do think this is not a deliberate thing at all.

  4. Proud? How are we supposed to be proud of this team with Hope Solo the alcoholic, domestic abuser?  That's like saying we should be proud of the Baltimore Ravens!  Totally ridiculous.

  5. I want to love the USWNT, but……uuugggghhh I can't get excited about women's soccer. Slow. The men play on a different planet of soccer compared to the women.

  6. Can anyone explain why the USA soccer team is so white? Some of American's best athletes are black but you look at their male and female soccer teams and most of the black players are foreign born. It is like America is back to front where soccer is a white upper middle class sport there and around the world it is a diverse working class sport.
