I thought Beasley did good so was jermane Jones and Beckerman didn't do that good beasler was also strong
Good call on Germany not dropping any points….lol.
Aaron Brooks
Donovan
P.s Cristiano Ronaldo might solo Team USA
Team USA had the lowest % of ball possession..How the fuck did they win all of a sudden?
All we need is Simon to predict the US is going to lose and we will pull out a result. So do it Simon, tell us we are going to lose again and lets get those 3 points against Portugal.
Usa had a very bad game other then a couple plays i think the ref help usa alot . Usa could not handle the Ghana's pace of the game guys were dropping like flys on the field for usa
I gotta be honest, I'm getting tired of hearing all of our top american experts saying that they're ok with us resorting to the "classic american style" of play when stuff gets tight. That strategy didn't work for the last couple decades, and can be agreed that it:
1) DOES NOT capitalize on the players and different skill sets we have available currently
2) Was NOT what we utilized in our qualifying run/Gold cup run.
The new approach Klinnsman instituted for WCQ, helped DEFINE who our playmakers, orchestrators, and enforcers are more clearly. Because it called for a wider variety of players and skillsets, guys that were overlooked in previous cycles finally got a chance to participate. It also helped REDEFINE squad roles for certain players. (Bradley having more freedom to involve himself in the offensive side of the ball, Beckerman emerging as a reliable babysitter for our back line, Beasley's somewhat successful conversion to left back, etc).
What resulted was a USMNT that looked confident, sharp, and competitive. They got results and still managed to pull off the typical "yankee comeback victory". The new approach allowed for moments where we could even press our lead and really TAKE IT to opposing teams, not just get a scrappy goal and then hunker down and defend it like a junkyard dog with a bone. I can agree with a disciplined defensive approach of the back four and beckerman (or jones, w/e) maintaining shape and addressing threats when NOT in possession, so that bradley, dempsey, altidore, zusi, bedoya, etc, can really cause trouble up front when we ARE in possession. Forcing ourselves to resort to "PARKING THE BUS", is basically shooting ourselves in the foot.
does Simon Borg have his head on upside down?
Its Football! Not soccer. I am an American, I was so happy we won, but, our back line has to get better. Ghana kept coming, and coming 2nd half of the match. Bradley did not have a great game, and I like him. I believe in Klinsmann, what he has said and done. Portugals Implosion may be our ticket out of this group. No one is beating Germany this group. I was glad when Germany vs Portugal was scheduled 2 play each other first. I said it, if 1 starts off badly, they may implode. Portugal may have
calm down you americans Ghana didn't have there best players out and yous struggled after the goal
Is Beasley the best option on left wing right now? It seemed as though he kept loosing a step during the Ghana game.
Put in WONDO!!
im from ireland and have started watching the mls this season, ive been really impressed by the quality of the league, im delighted beckerman played last night. hes like the american mascherano
These guys shout too much. You should see Thierry Henry analyse games on BBC, such calm and thoughtful analysis.
3 points important for the group. But against Portugal they have to play differently. If they let Portugal p la y their game, they will be eaten up.
To celebrate the arrival of the World Cup, I have been working on making piano covers of the anthems of all the 32 countries participating! Please check them out! You'll love them! 🙂
WTF? USA won
Very informative
Wondo starts against Portugal , Aaron just isn't ready to young and in experience , Wondo style fits best even if he does not have the experience we need atm .
Jones & Brooks are German so no wonder they are good. 🙂
Cool music at the start of this vid.
I just hope that Altidore and bedoya are ready by Sunday
"We scored too soon!" GFOPs know what I'm taking about.
Suffering is such a great word to describe what USA v Ghana was. It was hard to watch knowing how much is on the line.
It wouldn't surprise me to see Wondo play, especially considering his defensive workrate. No he's not physical, but he can help relieve some pressure in the midfield, and going forward he's always likely to score a scrapy goal
Give Germany and Portugal 25+ shots and take less than 10 on goal and see what happens.
We need to get better in possession. We need altidore to hold the ball more. Idk Johansson didn't star today. Still great gut wrenching win all my fingernails bitten off dang
Possession was horrible
I am surprise how prepared and knowledgeable this guys are. Good job.
The middle man is very knowledgeable; everything he said is accurate. Jermaine Jones was the best player on the field. Bradley did not play his best game. Thank you for this hot debate.
Portugal is still a very strong team even though they lost, they had injuries and Pepe is out. USA need to go out there strong and mentally ready. As well as confident, but not to confident and they need very strong defense. Lets hope US can make it happen! I know they can do it!
Too many ticky tack injuries!
Can we hold up the criticism, and talk about how organized this team looks? Outside of Germany, USA is the most organized team in the world cup right now. That's what makes us so hard to beat. Klinnsman has done a great job.
