  1. I understand Poch's thought process but if he leaves after this wc I'm going to be furious. Could have easily rolled with the main roster and stopped the MLS tryouts months ago. 75% of this roster is garbage and we're wasting two great friendlies on tryouts less than a year before the wc 😭

  2. Everyone complaining about the roster is in denial. They either have forgotten what this team has consistently looked like since the last World Cup, or they have just pushed it out of their minds. Do you remember the two quarterfinal Nations League legs against Trinidad and Tobago? Do you remember the semifinals against Jamaica? Do you remember the Copa America? Do you remember Nations League in March? This is what needs to be fixed. This is what Pochettino is trying to fix. I have no idea how you all would fix the issues of the team. Most likely you've never thought about it. But Pochettino has a process for trying. His goal is to identify the players that he can count on in terms of quality, spirit, and ability to adapt to what's asked of them.

  3. He may not be invested or interested in coaching a bunch of overrated hacks that can’t beat small Caribbean countries. Does anyone really think any of the starting 11 can go up against France, Spain, Germany. Do we really believe we have a chance at this upcoming World Cup when we get obliterated by Switzerland or Poland.
Soccer in general is a complete clown show with all the BS rules fifa and uefa come up with. If the MLS wants to bring in better players not retiring how about lifting the designated player rule. Get rid of the financial fair play rule if teams over spend they go out of business it’ll sort itself out.
Lastly we always hear we need a good coach we need someone who can run the ship right. Here we are blaming the coach yet again when it’s clear there is something going on in the federation as a whole holding people back from following through with their own plan. Which is why the US will always be mediocre at best and former players act like they won world cups when the most they’ve ever won is trophy that excludes top countries in the same hemisphere

  4. He's clearly not invested in the team or in the sport in the US. How could a coach not having talked to key players such as Pulisic since the summer (referring to the first question asked)? What kind of team moral and dynamics is that??

  5. …this manager's is so refreshing. I love his mentality and appreciate his clarity. As stated, nothing is given, all is earned. That is…"The USA way", so it MUST BE!!!!!

  6. He said Gio and Johnny are with new clubs and need to get settled in. He said Weston needs time with his club to fight for a playing time. Tillman is injured. He went with a bunch a new faces and newer faces that need to prove they are at international level like Berthalter, De La Torre, and Diego.

  7. What's gonna suck is if/when Sargent doesn't score because he'll be playing against two quality opponents we get to hear all the MLSers chanting for Agyemang's return.

  8. This wouldn’t be his World Cup roster. You guys are overreacting. He’s still assessing players in case someone is injured right before the World Cup. He also mentioned that this window is the last window in which he’ll bring in new faces.
