  1. "The industry standard is to give every team a chance to succeed." Is Jesse mad? Or is he just so desperate to get another European head coaching gig that he'll toe the line? The top leagues in Europe may welcome new teams into the top flight each year, but none of those teams have a "chance to succeed." The Premier League only has six teams with a realistic chance at a title; La Liga has two; Serie A has four or so; the Bundesliga has three or four. The disparity is because of the financial illness that promotion and relegation has visited upon European leagues. Liga MX got rid of promotion and relegation because it was financially untenable. It's past time that actual economists and business people lay out the monetary consequences for teams constantly scrambling to climb the ladder or hang on to a rung at the bottom of the ladder.

  2. Shocked more people haven't found the show yet, but fact of the podcast for me is that Jesse uses FotMob! Keep it up boys, love the content!

  3. Imagine a man saying Italian football is left behind when that nation has 4 world cups, 2 euro cups, longest international undefeated streak, highest euro coefficient past two years and ranked top ten national in fifa. Guys salty he can’t get a job in Italy 😂

  4. Most MLS fans want parity—like other American sports. How do you maintain that in a pro/rel system? We don’t want the LA, NY, and Miami markets to become our Bayerns, Milans, and Manchesters. That’s my main problem with pro/rel. Is there an answer to that. I want to see Columbus and the way they do things and Philly and the way they do things and LAFC/Miami and the way they do things, etc. Makes the league interesting.

  5. Maybe it's a hot-take but of all the not natural right backs at right back….I like Weston Mckennie at RWB – his performances for Juve look better when he's there, he get's a little more space in front of him to see the game, and a bit more time on the ball to either beat a man & see a good through ball, cross, or floating ball in.

  6. Probably unfair Roberto De Zerbi comment. If you watch Brighton every week you’ll know most of the injuries have been season ending injuries and Brighton don’t shop in January. Its Lewis Dunk and our U21’s at this point. I think he’d do fine at Milan, not that I want to see him go, but he might not fix the defense and I could see him getting on some players cases if they aren’t training at 100%.

  7. The Olympics are important to the American public at large so sending our Best that can be with the team vs COPA would be a great boon to Futbol in this country if they got a Medal.
