  1. This is true, but many of their star players will be old by 2017 qualification.

I'm a big Penedo fan, but he will be 36 by the next qualification 🙁
I wanted to see him play in a WC so badly.

  2. Maybe the subs show that the master tactician that Jürgen is. Bob Bradley was nothing but a counter attacking team and nothing really impressive to watch.
Conrad is just clueless talking up a 4-4-2 using one game to support his argument. The midfield will be overrun in Brazil next year if we go there like that. If Jürgen wanted a more direct style, 4-4-2 would be good, but not if you want a more possession based game.

  3. If i had to choose, i would definitely pick Chris Klute over Yedlin. To me, Klute just has more skill and awareness of the game where Yedlin can make things happen on the wings but he gets beaten way to easily.

  4. poor Panama…
US should have thrown that game. I think Jaime Penedo (one of CONCACAF's best keepers) deserves a World Cup. This was their golden generation (one that is aging too). I don't know if Panama will ever get this chance again…

  5. Very good point. The ability to adapt will be crucial too. Many players wont be familiar with the climate, and fewer still will be familiar with a Brazillian atmosphere in the crowd. Thankfully Brazil's climate is similar to a lot of the Central American countries the US plays regularly, so the weather will be less of a problem for us than, say, England

  6. Don't get your expectations to high its dose not matter how good the players are on your team its mostly how the team plays together at the world cup and if they can stay in form through out the cup game
.. don't forget what happended to France and Italy last Wc
