  1. Where are the trans women? After all the activism, does this team still not allow any trans women to play on their team? Do you know how I know that there is a rule/policy banning trans women from this team? Take a guess.

  2. Trumpians have so much to criticise immigrants, then they have to swallow their tongues to cheer the US national team, which is made up of players from all over the world. Long live the immigrants, down with the ignorant boors!

  3. 3 of my favorite observations from watching the whole of this game:

1: I've said it multiple times and I'll keep saying it; teams. can. not. deal. with. Alyssa. Thompson. That pace and quickness is overwhelming, especially when she's out there with Cat and is able to cut into the middle frequently.
2: Lily Yohannes continues to show that no one has quite the touch that she does, especially on those intermediate balls over the top. Scary to think that she's still just a teenager.
3: Can we talk about how Avery Patterson came in and absolutely tore it up playing as a winger in limited minutes late in the match? My goodness.

  4. I am actually disappointed in the USA's playing……they should have scored a lot more goals if players were not so greedy. The only reason I said that was because they are going to play much better teams in the future…….

  5. The Jamaicans were very poor on the field. They have no tactical discipline and they're sloppy with their passes. They did not run for 50/50 ball and they were just watching the US pass the ball around.

  6. It amazes me how short this USA team is, and seems to be getting shorter every year, but despite the height disadvantage, they seem to make up for it with exceptional skill. I guess the Japanese were the first to demonstrate that speed and skill can overcome height.

  7. Big respect to Jamaica for playing against a team with a bigger budget, etc. I have a deep respect for these women who travel miles to train much without financial support and many working a separate full time job. So if given the opportunity to play against a team like USA, etc, shows their commitment to the sport. Big up to the REGGAE GIRLS!!
