  1. Which major tournament this summer have Americans bought the most tickets for? That's right! The Euros. Not only have Americans bought more tix for the Euros than Copa, they bought more tix for the Euros than anyone in Europe!

Why do you suppose that is? Because Americans love winners, meh losers, and hate being embarrassed.

Does Christian Pulisic sell more #11 Milan shirts or #10 USMNT shirts? Duh. How many Americans spend boatloads of money to watch the top 5 European leagues compared to MLS? Duh.

Why? Because Americans who are already engaged are knowledgeable and sophisticated fans and want to watch great footie. That desire is worth a boatload of money.

And footie is the fastest growing sport in the US. That is worth many boatloads of money. So what does all this mean?

It means that the USSF is throwing away hundreds of millions of dollars every year through their toxic insistence on propping up Berhalter as coach. Seriously, they could give, say Pep, double what he asks and make that back by a factor of 10 just in the bump that news would generate. Every possible ticket to every USMNT match would sell out in minutes.

Not only are the USSF board members bad at soccer, they're bad at business.

  2. I support equal pay for the men and women. My concern is that the women's team has a top coach, with and excellent pedigree while the men's coach is not anywhere as accomplished. It isn't fair but the reality is that in pro soccer top men's coaches get paid much more than top women's coaches. The unfortunate result is the men's program is being handicapped.

  3. Doesn't look promising and that's being kind. The USMNT has quality players who play well together. If a coaching change is what can make them a contender then by all means, flip the switch.

  4. I get tired of saying it, Greg is the problem. He’s scared to experiment. But I’m not gonna say we would’ve won with Dest but he Forsure is a crucial piece in our game

  5. To Pundits saying anything other than we need a change of manager is insulting the Player pool, Fans, Soccer, and the country. Let's do whats best for the sport and team and country for a change.
