Uruguay and South Korea faced off to kick off the matchups for Group H. South Korea’s fans anxiously awaited to see if Son Heung-Min would be playing against Uruguay after a fractured eye socket on November 2. He played wearing a mask to protect his injury. There were many chances to score but nobody was successful and both teams played great defense with pressure to keep the opposing offense from scoring. Both teams threatened late Uruguay and South Korea came to a 0-0 draw.

    Hello I want to express my opinion, about the World Cup 2022 in Qatar. The world Cup 2022 in Qatar is one of the worst world cups I have ever seen. I will express my reasons why the World Cup 2022 in Qatar was one of the worst I have ever seen.

    The first reason I do approve of the World Cup 2022 in Qatar because it should had never been hosted there. After some research. I have discovered there is corruption in FIFA. There is money involved. There is certain degree of politics in life. In football there is no difference. An organization there is a certain degree of incompetence and corruption. Migrant workers were abused and even killed, for years to prepare for the World Cup.

    The second reason is my observation of the refereeing in this World Cup is one of the worst in World Cup history. My nation Uruguay was eliminated from the tournament because of reason. The referees that were assigned to referee in the matches for Uruguay, made erroneous calls either in competently or deliberately against Uruguay or both. This has happened before. I know Portugal lost the match against South Korea on purpose, in order for South Korea to gain second place in Group H through Goal Difference, and place Uruguay into third place so it be eliminated from the tournament. The reason for Portugal' National team motive was revenge. During the World Cup 2018 in Russia. Uruguay eliminated Portugal from the Round of 16. I theorize that was motive Portugal lost the match with South Korea. Portugal beat Ghana and Uruguay, but they cannot beat South Korea. I do not want to sound like a Conspiracy Theorist. I sense a motive. Although Uruguay performance was not at the level expected. They played well enough to qualify, but were robbed by set up by Portugal, the referees, and maybe by FIFA. My theory is based on the theory had Uruguay qualified to the Round of 16, they opponent was Brazil. Brazil does not like to play Uruguay for social psychological reasons based on history. One of the matches that haunt Brazil is the final of the World Cup 1950, in Brazil called Manacanzo. where Uruguay beat Brazil and won the tournament

    The final reason is despite the improvements in technology like VAR (Video Assistant Referee). It does improve the calls Referees make in a Football match. At the end the referee is a human being. Although they attempt to be impartial, they will make errors. They might even apply their favoritism, preferences. Either by their own or suggested by FIFA, because of politics.

    In conclusion I' am very disappointed with the World Cup 2022 in Qatar. Again it should had never been hosted there. Migrant workers were abused and even killed, for years to prepare for the World Cup. I' am also disappointed with the Commentators like Alexis Lalas for criticizing Uruguay for protesting and yelling at the referee, in the match between Uruguay and Ghana. Alexis was a great player, but not as a commentator or analyzer of Football. He does not know what he is talking about. Since Uruguay was eliminated by conspiracy, and the United States who tried but lack the experience. I have decided to support Argentina my South American brother of Rio De La Plata, or Spain the land of my ancestors to win the World Cup. You can take the information for what it is worth. I expressed what I had to express. So enjoy the World Cup. I hope the next World Cup is conducted fairly and without politics.

    It really is very sad to see the Uruguayan National Team play in the soccer World Cups. Everyone back and wait for the opponent's mistake to score a goal. But when they play the South American qualifiers they do damage to Bolivia, Venezuela, Paraguay and Peru so they don't qualify for the world cup
