What went wrong for the USMNT?
USMNT had clean without a getting a yellow or red cards for these players in 3-1 lost to Netherlands in Round of 16… also, No VAR possible penalties for those teams' spot of the foul on the penalty box in this knockout match
Landon Donavan, either shave the hair or get hair plugs, dude.
Great Cup, Matt Turner. Too bad your defense let you down.
Tyler Adams letting Memphis go unmarked right past him to score their first goal. Defense caved. Pulisic and Wright missing easy goals.
What went wrong is they were hopelessly outmatched. It's World War 3 for this team to score one goal, let alone win, against inferior opponents in the World Cup. They have no chance against teams like the Netherlands.
Lack of motivation by having to pay $380k in child support to the USWNT
THE PROBLEM IS THAT YOU GUYS THINK THE US IS BETTER THAN THEY ACTUALLY ARE!!!!! 🤷♂️
One white man played good. Another white man played no good. Everyone white, don't know who.
if the us youth system wasnt so rigged i would b playin rn and hundreds of other taltned players n we would be an actual team 🤣
If Pulisic scored that goal from the start, this game would be different
#ClintDempsey should b the head coach for the usmt!
What went wrong? It’s men soccer. Stop pretending they had a chance.
Let's break this down, honestly without people trying to keep their jobs and endorsements in the world of Soccer, by stating how proud we are for losing AGAIN😶
The United States Men's Soccer team can't handle World Cup Soccer, Period.
No excuse No better luck next time, we can't play on the level that it takes to be World Cup Champions. Period.
Is Clint Dempsey half Latino?
Break that record Deuce!
Too much focus on their logo
Horrible defense from USA
Not thing ís wrong, the problem is the coach put three very weak players in the forwarding position. To many chance for them but can not do better!!
Forever USA 🇺🇸
The US team possessed the ball more than Holland. US missed a lot of opportunities but did not execute. Poor defense on their own end. US team needs to learn to finish.
Simple. Poor positional play under pressure. And that includes play from Pulisic and Dest too—head-down driving that pays off sometimes for sure, but generally just doesn’t create enough opportunity.
Dest’s play was especially atrocious: Head completely in the clouds after his fruitless solo bid, leaving that fossil unmarked to put away an easy goal…
im really intrested to know as not a yank what yanks want or are expecthing from wc 2026 coz that all they talk about like ready to do what are they expecting to win something😂😂
I think maybe you can take some of the women since you're paying them
they only scored 2 points the last 4 games, that's what went wrong, I wonder how much the US ladies soccer team will make this time?
NOW THAT YOU LOOK AT IT
THE FORMATION NETHERLands
came with would have workedd for the US side 😓
USA needs to grow soccer's popularity, especially MLS. The talent pool in the U.S. is too small. If more kids play soccer than American football, then the talent pool can grow and the US can field a better team.
Go USALGBTQMNT 😏

Duece is right. No friendlys with teams ranked lower than 30. CONCACAF is now holding us back.
Their tempo during the game was way off. They leisurely make their way to the goal, buying time for defenders to box them in. They have no improvisation during the game, they don't adapt to failing tactics. Gregg Berhalter is a poor coach who does not have a strong historical background of football and the previous German coach Jurgen Klinsmann is 10x more knowledgeable about the sport than him. What we essentially saw was fledglings being demolished by seasoned world cup pros. Young players does not always mean you win. Lastly, you can't be calling the sport soccer and expect to make it to the semi-finals. This is crucial.
Simply put: They are not that good!
The problem is NCAA. It's Saturday so there must be college football than college soccer.
I don't wanna force people to watch soccer. But NCAA needs to put college soccer games on TV.
I guarantee a lot of people will watch and it's the only way to elevate the level of competition.
USA just doesn't have the same level of skills as most of the other teams, offensively and defensively
The blessing from Joe biden.
Jedi- if he's not good enough for the England squad why do we want him? Acosta would have made a better left back honestly.
The real question is "What went Right?" The answer is not much at all.
Keep practicing guys! 🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱
The U.S. team is the only Soccer team to hate the country they represent.
"Pride makes us artificial and humility makes us real."

Beacuse its called fútbol not soccer
Pretty arrogant of Stu to say that had they scored in the second minute, that they would have won. There's absolutely no evidence to support that logic. It was clear that LvG's tactics won the game, and even if they were down early in the game, they would have adjusted and still found a way to win.
